Spartanburg, SC (February 11, 2020) – Contec, Inc., a global manufacturer of critical cleaning and contamination control products, is announcing it has expanded its sponsorship of JD Motorsports (JDM) #0 car, featuring driver Jeffrey Earnhardt for all races during the 2020 NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) season. Contec is building upon 2019’s sponsorship, a first for the company, by shifting their support to the #0 car as an associate sponsor for 30 races and a title sponsor for three, including Texas (3/28/20), Chicago (6/20/20) and Charlotte (10/10/20). Based in upstate South Carolina, Contec is proud to support JDM, one of the hardest working teams on the NXS circuit, fielding racers since 1983.
“We are thrilled to put our support behind the ‘#0 Team’ this year as it reinforces the efforts of our associates in the markets we serve. We’re constantly striving to support zero contamination, zero infections and zero defects in our Cleanroom, Healthcare and Surface Prep markets respectively,” said Matt Schiering, Contec’s CMO. “Every one of our 800+ worldwide associates are ‘heroes for zero!’”
“I’m grateful to know that companies such as Contec see the value in supporting local businesses, especially our family here at JDM,” said Johnny Davis, team owner of JD Motorsports. “This continuing sponsorship makes us all proud to represent the Upstate.”
Earnhardt is a 4th generation NASCAR driver. His engagement with JD Motorsports for the 2020 season will include a minimum of 12 races in the XFINITY series. He has been racing competitively since 2006. He is the nephew of Dale Earnhardt Jr. and grandson of NASCAR Hall of Fame driver Dale Earnhardt.
